Job Summary


  • The Assistant General Manager, Quality Assurance, will oversee the quality assurance operations within Dangote Cement Plc, ensuring products meet regulatory standards and quality standards while leading a team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and procedures across all manufacturing lines.
  • Monitor and evaluate product quality throughout the production process, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Coordinate quality audits and inspections, both scheduled and unscheduled, to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Establish performance metrics for quality assurance and oversee reporting to ensure visibility of quality performance across the organization.
  • Collaborate with R&D to provide input for product development with a focus on quality standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis on defects and non-conformance, implementing corrective actions to eliminate recurring issues.
  • Provide training and support to production personnel on quality standards and best practices.
  • Manage the QA laboratory and ensure all equipment is regularly calibrated and tested according to industry standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 4 years in a managerial capacity within the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
