The company is also into oilfield and construction equipment leasing. Among the business of HAMIK ENERGY LIMITED is well testing, land logistics and other related services.

We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Procurement / Contract Engineer

Job Location: Rivers
Job Type: Full time

Job Responsibilities


  • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of engineering contracts, including but not limited to, service agreements, procurement contracts, and project financing agreements.
  • Perform risk assessments on potential contracts and advise management on the legal and financial implications.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other engineering staff to ensure contract specifications are met and identify any potential issues in project execution.
  • Implement and manage contract management tools, databases, and software to ensure efficient tracking, monitoring, and reporting of contract status, compliance, and performance.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and clients, to resolve any contract-related disputes or negotiations in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure all engineering projects comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s business strategies and goals to align contract negotiation and management processes with organizational objectives.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to assess the effectiveness of contract terms and conditions, identifying lessons learned and making recommendations for future contract strategies. 

Requirements

  • Must have an indepth knowledge in contracting and procurement.
  • A Bachelor's Degree / HND in relevant field with 5 years of experience.
  • Must reside within Eleme and its environs.

2.) Truck Mechanic

Job Location: Rivers
Job Type: Full time

Job Description

  • Perform routine maintenance on trucks, such as checking batteries and changing oil to ensure proper vehicle running
  • Inspect various parts of trucks, including brake systems, wheel bearings and steering mechanisms to ensure they are in the proper condition to operate effectively
  • Diagnose malfunctions in defective equipment by inspecting and testing the equipment
  • Use different tools and equipment, such as pressure gauges, pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, screwdrivers, hoists and jacks, to repair trucks while constantly utilizing safety precautions
  • Test drive vehicles to ensure they are running properly and to find issues to determine what the solution will be
  • Replace parts, valves, bearings and gears as needed and repair vehicle cooling and heating systems
  • Measure vehicle emissions to ensure they are in the proper limits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification SSCE
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Must be able to lift heavy equipment and parts regularly
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be comfortable with working in awkward positions or cramped spaces.
  • Technical certification or degree (if available)
  • Previous experience as a diesel mechanic
  • Ensure parts conform to specifications by inspecting and verifying clearances and dimension.

3.) QHSSE Manager

Job Location: Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Monitor the implementation of the HSE strategy.
  • Ensure that the workplace is monitored and is fully in compliance with all applicable OSHA standards, rules and regulations in order to maintain safety.
  • To highlight areas where training/certification is required to meet the standards imposed by Legislation, Approved Codes of Practice, or H.S.E. guidance.
  • Ensure that all accident reports are recorded in a timely, complete, and accurate manner.
  • To bring company related health and safety matters to the attention of the management at regular intervals.
  • Ensure that an adequate programme of training for health and safety is established and that the safety culture is encouraged amongst employees.
  • Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and to bring to the attention of the Management, any relevant new legislation.
  • Use labels, signs, posters, floor marking, and color coding to warn employees about potential hazards.
  • Ensure that Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are maintained, and communicated to employees.
  • Ensure the results of safety inspections are documented; monitoring the investigation of accidents and injuries; ensuring that corrective actions are taken; and providing recommendations for ways to prevent similar accidents.
  • Ensure that all “assessments” as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals and to maintain records of the same.
  • Recommend control measures and advise on the standard of P.P.E. issued to employees.
  • Conduct health and safety inspections and prepare reports of all the company’s operations.
  • Carry out investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents and to record the findings on the relevant forms.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a Health, Safety, or Environmental field of study
  • At least 5 years of experience in health and safety.
  • QHSSE Qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
  • In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA) and procedures
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organization skills
  • Good analytical skills and the ability to think critically
  • Good public speaking skills
  • Leadership skills
