Dot is a Nigerian/Dutch company that helps solve this problem by providing affordable financial and non-financial products and services to the underbanked and unbanked. We created a network of so-called 'agents' with mobile terminals as a first step. People can go to these agents to get or deposit cash, transfer money, and pay bills easily. Since the launch of our flagship product called dotPay in September 2021, over 23,000 agents are now active in Nigeria, and over 7 million customers have used their services. In addition to dotPay, we are currently rolling out our electronic banking app dotBank, and affordable insurance with dotInsure.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

• As a DevOps Engineer, you will take the lead in making sure our products run smooth, scale well, and our releases can run frequently and remain free from drama.
• Our data infrastructure runs on Amazon AWS, powering the products and secure transactions on the one hand, and facilitating our data science team on the other hand.

Responsibilities

• Ensure frictionless development, testing, staging and production environments.
• Continuously improve the speed and quality of our software delivery.
• Have on-call responsibilities in rotation with the engineering team.
• Deploy and maintain critical applications on cloud-native microservices architecture.
• Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.
• Maintain the monitoring and alerting platform, ensuring delivery of timely and relevant alerts.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualification.
• You have at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker and cloud deployment technologies.
• Experience implementing CI/CD with Argo CD in a Kubernetes environment.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code technology like AWS CDK, Terraform.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Expertise with AWS (e.g. IAM, EC2, EKS, SQS, VPC, ELB, ALB, Autoscaling, Lambda, Fargate, etc).
• Effective communication skills & ability to communicate architectures in a visual form.
• Effective writing skills to document infrastructure and processes.
• Advanced knowledge of best practices related to data encryption and cybersecurity.
