Telecom Project Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to oversee and manage complex projects within our telecommunications network. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in project management, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the telecommunications industry. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects within the defined scope, budget, and timeline, ensuring successful delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.This role requires expertise in telecom systems, proficiency with AutoCAD and Visio for creating technical drawings and documentation, and the ability to manage projects from inception to completion.

 

 


Key Responsibilities:

 

Project Planning: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resources, budgets, and risk assessments.

Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional project teams, providing direction, motivation, and support to ensure successful project execution. Assign tasks, set priorities, and manage team performance to meet project goals.

Execution and Monitoring: Oversee the day-to-day management of projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and make adjustments as necessary to keep the project on track.

Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and any potential risks or issues. Facilitate communication and collaboration between all project participants.

Budget Management: Manage project budgets, ensuring that expenditures are in line with the approved budget. Track costs, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring minimal impact on project outcomes.

Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards. Implement quality control processes and conduct regular reviews to maintain high standards.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk logs, and post-project evaluations. Ensure that all project records are accurate and up-to-date.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the project management framework and contribute to the development of best practices and methodologies.

 

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Telecommunications, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications e.g., PMP is a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of Telecom project management experience. (Telecom experience is mandatory)

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira).

Ability to use Design softwares such as AutoCAD, Visio.

Familiarity with telecommunications technology, network infrastructure, and industry-specific regulations.

Experience in managing large-scale, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

Soft Skills:

Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.

Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) (preferred).
